Rocco at 1.5 Years

Happy, happy one and a half years to my little fireball, Rocco Boy baby! 🎂

my little binata 💙

Looking at you now, you have surely grown so much from that fragile little boy in the NICU bassinet on October 13, 2018.  You are very strong, with beefy arms and legs that kick and swing like there's no tomorrow.💪🏻  Every day, I am reminded that I have a boy when you accidentally hit me when we play.  And yup, sometimes you hit people talaga!  You scare your ate Lia when you start acting rough. Nakuuuu!  Your brawny body does not know pain, you rarely cry when hurt!  Because you are very malikot, sometimes you hit your head hard on the table or on the wall or on the door, but you would just scratch it and act like it's nothing!😂  Fear is certainly not on your list of emotions at the moment.  You dauntlessly climb up and down the stairs, chairs, tables, even a stack of drawers and boxes.  When your sister was your age, we wouldn't worry leaving her for a few seconds (but we still didn't) because she was generally mild-mannered and gentle then.  But you? Oh no. God knows what you can do for a couple of seconds.  Haaay, my Rocco.

Your dad and I love watching you play, and you know what, you play like you were an older kid.  You'd pick up your animal figures and with your lips pointed, you would produce different kinds of sounds, as if you're making them talk with your roars and growls.  You make your toys fight, too!  You'd throw the lion hard against the wall, then hit it bad with the elephant, then the lion would fight back and hit the elephant hard, too!  Nakakatawa.😂  I haven't seen your ate Lia make her toys engage in a physical fight like that.  She usually makes her ponies fight with words, like, "I don't want to play with you, Rainbow Dash.  I need to go to Pinkie Pie's party with the fabulous Rarity!"  Hehehe, See how different you two are?

Speaking of fighting, ikaw batang maliit, you fight back!  When we're pulling you out from playing because it's time to eat, you'd make mad actions. When we scold you, you would answer back with gibberish, with a matching raising of arms.  These days, your favorite phrase is, "No no no!" And you know how to use it.  When I'd give you your milk and you don't want it, you'd shout No No No and throw the bottle.  You little rug rat! 😂

Despite your silly and sometimes mischievous antics, you are still my sweet boy.❤️  I'm your favorite person in the world and you love me dearly to the point of being possessive!  One sure way to make you cry is when your daddy hugs or kisses me, hahaha! For you, only Rocco can come near mommy.  Only Rocco can embrace mommy.  Only Rocco can kiss mommy!  And when you plant your kisses on my cheek, you do so very tenderly.  May eye contact pa minsan!  Very, very sweet!😘

Like ate Lia, you love singing and dancing, and boy, you can carry a tune!  Lately, you like singing "Be Prepared" from The Lion King, "No No" by The Supremes on Kids TV, and yes, Tala by Sarah Geronimo. Hehehe.  You actually just hear these songs from your sister, and you imitate whatever she does but with more gusto and energy, hahaha.😂  You are also very talkative now, I've lost count of the words you can already say and understand.  You call yourself Coco because you can't say Rocco yet.  Nope, you haven't memorized your ABCs and 123s yet, and that's a-OK.

So, this ends the roundup of how you are at 1.5 years, my love!  As usual, we can't wait for more of your milestones that will unfold in the months and years to come.  We love you so much! 💙💙💙
